Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 May 2025 · Effective: 5 May 2025
This policy explains what cookies are, how Tovrik uses them on this website, and the choices available to you regarding their use. We aim to be straightforward about the small number of cookies this site sets and what they do.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device — computer, tablet, or phone — when you visit. They are retrieved on subsequent visits, allowing the site to recognise your browser or remember certain information about your preferences.
Cookies are not executable programmes; they cannot carry viruses or access other information stored on your device. Most serve a straightforward function: allowing a website to work as expected across multiple pages or visits.
2. Types of cookies we use
Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They handle basic operations such as page navigation and access to secure areas. The site cannot operate correctly without them. You cannot opt out of essential cookies while using the site.
- cookieConsent — stores your cookie preference choices in your browser's local storage (not transmitted to our servers)
- Session continuity data for secure form submission
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website — which pages are visited, how long people spend on them, and where visitors come from. This information is aggregated and does not identify individuals. We use this to improve the readability and organisation of our site.
- Page view counts and navigation paths
- Approximate geographic region (country level)
- Browser and device type for layout testing
Preference cookies
Preference cookies allow the website to remember choices you have made — such as your region or display settings — so that these do not need to be re-entered on your next visit.
- Language or locale settings if applicable
- Previously dismissed notices or banners
Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies may be set by third-party advertising services to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant content on other sites. We do not run advertising campaigns of this nature at present. If this changes, this policy will be updated and fresh consent requested.
3. Third-party cookies
Some cookies on this site may be set by third-party services embedded in our pages. We have no direct control over the cookies these services set, though we endeavour to use only those with clear, documented privacy practices. Third parties that may set cookies include:
- Google Analytics — for aggregated website usage statistics. Governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Google Maps — the map embedded on our contact page may set cookies related to your interaction with the map.
- Font delivery services (Google Fonts) — which may log requests at the infrastructure level.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of these third parties directly if you have specific concerns about data they collect.
4. How long cookies last
Cookies fall into two categories based on how long they remain on your device:
- Session cookies — active only while your browser is open. They are removed when you close the browser. These handle basic navigation functions.
- Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a defined period, even after you close your browser. Our cookie preference record (
cookieConsent) is stored in localStorage, which persists until you clear your browser data. Analytics cookies typically expire after 13 months.
5. Your cookie preferences
You can adjust your preferences for optional cookie categories below. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the site to function. Changes are saved to your browser and take effect immediately.
6. Managing cookies in your browser

7. Your rights and choices

- Withdraw consent to optional cookies at any time using the controls above
- Request information about the data we hold that relates to your use of this site
- Ask for correction of any inaccurate personal data we may hold
Withdrawing consent for optional cookies will not affect your ability to read our programme descriptions or contact us. Some site features — such as the embedded map — may not function fully if all third-party cookies are blocked.
To exercise any of these rights, or to ask questions about cookies and how your data is handled, write to us at [email protected].
8. Updates to this policy
We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes to our website, the services we use, or relevant regulation. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
